Shakespeare

I founded the Festival Shakespeare Buenos Aires in 2011. Since then, every year, we celebrate Shakespeare in the only Shakespearean festival in Latin America. Along its ten editions, the festival was attended by more than 250.000 people.  Link to Festival Shakespeare Buenos Aires.

The Teatro Shakespeare (Shakespeare Theatre) was built for the first time in 2013. It was a pop-up elizabethan theatre that was placed in different public parks in Buenos Aires.In it’s three seasons, the theatre received more than 300.000 visitors. Link to Teatro Shakespeare.

In 2014, 2015 and 2016 I produced and directed the Festival Shakespeare Uruguay, in Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay. Link to Festival Shakespeare Uruguay.

In 2015 I created the Festival Shakespeare en la Escuela (Shakespeare School Festival) and every year since then, hundreds of schools participate in it. Link to Festival Shakespeare en la Escuela.

The Romeo Foundation designated me as it’s president in 2015. We have created educational programs in shanty towns, scholarships, awards and many successful fundraising campaigns. Link to the Romeo Foundation.

«Harold Bloom, the last interview» is a documentary that I directed and produced  in 2017. It shows the last interview given by Prof Bloom.

I have directed and produced plays written by Shakespeare: Macbeth, Anthony and Cleopatra, Richard III, Cardenio, Hamlet.

«Shakespeare’s women», «Borges and Shakespeare», «Shakespeare, García Lorca y Hamlet», «The rape Lucrece» among others, are some of the shows I have created.

Member of the Order of the British Empire Medal, given by Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom. (2019)
